Golfers elbow, otherwise known as medial epicondylitis, is a condition that causes pain and tenderness on the inside of the elbow.
It's called golfers elbow because it's a common injury among golfers, but it can happen to anyone who repeatedly uses their forearm muscles, such as rock climbers, plumbers, and carpenters.
Pain is felt on the inside of the elbow and forearm. Symptoms can come on slowly and range from mild to severe. Occasionally, injury can cause immediate pain in this area.
Symptoms may last over a year. Exercises, counterforce brace, and anti-inflammatory medications may alleviate symptoms.
